Born and raised in Antwerp — the city of diamonds — she grew up in a family of diamond dealers, which sparked her lifelong fascination with gemstones and jewelry design. Founding SHIR Fine Jewelry allowed her to transform that fascination into a living passion and share it with others.
For Shirley, designing jewelry is deeply personal. She loves the process — from the first sketch to carefully selecting each stone and refining every detail — because it’s a way of turning imagination into something tangible and meaningful.
